Orange County residents enjoy fruit and vegetable drinks on a daily basis. Many people like to make their own beverages by blending all different kinds of fruits or vegetables with water and other liquids. When it comes to making these kinds of drinks, which people often refer to as “smoothies,” using a high quality blender can result in a better product. Regardless of which kind of blender a person uses, however, they do not expect it to cause an injury.
According to the results of recent tests by the magazine, Consumer Reports, a new and popular blender model may be a dangerous product. The tests show that the NutriBullet 900 has blades that can crack during the blending process. Consumer Reports advises people not to buy the product and that owners should stop using it.
The manufacturer of the NutriBullet 900 says that they have not received any consumer complaints about the product. In addition, the company claims that one of the Consumer Reports tests involved crushing ice without liquid, which the company says is a misuse of its product. But, the product manual does not include any warnings against putting ice in the machine without liquid.
Unsafe products due to design or manufacturing defects can lead to serious injuries. Moreover, a product that has insufficient warnings can also be a danger to consumers.
Anyone who suffers an injury from a dangerous product can pursue legal action against various different parties. For example, a negligent manufacturer will have liability for producing a defective product. Likewise, the seller of a defective product could also have legal responsibility.
Nobody should have to worry about suffering injuries, or even death, from any kind of consumer product.
