A recent study done by an insurance company found that the Golden State could have the worst drivers in the country. Due the number of accidents, insurance prices are higher in California, and motorists could face a higher risk of accidents than they would driving in other states.

What makes California roads more dangerous?

There are many factors to consider when deciding which state has the worst drivers. California drivers could face a higher risk of an accident due to the following factors:

  • Distracted driving is a growing problem in the state.
  • There is a significant amount of traffic congestion on roadways statewide, but particularly in LA and other metro areas.
  • California also has the worst rate for DUIs in the country.

Distracted driving and drunk driving are two of the biggest threats to the health and safety of all motorists. If you live in California, it is important to know what to do to protect your interests in the event that you are hurt in an accident.
