Tragedy struck multiple families last week when a car collided with a bus in Anaheim, California near Disneyland, killing one and injuring 14. The crash happened on Harbor Boulevard just north of Ball Road, causing road closures to both Ball Road and Vermont Avenue for hours after the crash. The crash occurred at approximately 11:15am, and kept the roads closed until nearly 4pm.
The sedan crossed into opposing lanes and struck the Orange County Transportation Authority bus as the bus was pulling away from the curb. Police suspect that the driver may have had a medical occurrence which lead to the erratic driving, but they are still investigating. The driver’s door of the sedan was crushed inward, along with the rear bumper of the car implanted against the front of the bus. The driver of the sedan was killed in the crash, and 14 passengers of the bus were also injured, though most injuries were just minor bumps and bruises.
In the United States, car accidents are among the leading cause of injuries and fatalities. Like any accident, car accidents are nearly impossible to predict, and can happen to anyone at any time.
If you or someone you know was involved in an accidente de tráfico, you may be compensated for your injuries, including pain and suffering, medical expenses, and lost wages. Proving negligence in a car accident is not always easy, so finding professional guidance may help. You may want to consider speaking with a legal professional familiar with personal injury to see whether you may be entitled to compensation.
