Russ attended law school with the intent of helping people. This goal was quickly fulfilled while working as a law clerk at the Law Offices of W. Douglas Easton during law school, and Russ quickly found himself drawn to the aid of the ordinary person. Over the 18 years that Russ has been with the Law Offices of W. Douglas Easton, he has felt fortunate to be able to repeatedly help injured people recover for the wrongs they have suffered. In the process, Russ has met many outstanding individuals who, despite their sometimes catastrophic injuries, demonstrate how great life is and reinforce why he loves what he does. Russ finds continual satisfaction at the end of a case in being able to hand an injured person a check that will help mitigate their loss and restore their dignity and financial security. Russ works closely with clients from the beginning of our representation to see that they receive compassionate help, assistance, and appropriate medical care so as to minimize the negative impact of an injury on their lives. Russ is often successful in resolving claims with excellent results before any litigation is necessary. Russ grew up in Los Angeles County near the beach. Russ served a two year mission for his church in Mexico City where he learned Spanish and grew to love Hispanic culture. Russ graduated from Brigham Young University in 1990, earning degrees in International Relations and Spanish. He then received his law degree from Western State University College of Law in 1994 and was admitted to the California Bar that same year.
Since 1991, Russ has worked for the Law Offices of W. Douglas Easton and litigated all types of personal injury, medical negligence, wrongful death, and products liability claims. One of Russ’s most satisfying professional accomplishments is getting to know the people he has helped over his 18 years in the legal field. Russ believes in fairness for the consumer and helping his clients who often turn out to be friends long after their cases are resolved.
Russ is the father of five sons who keep him young at heart and busy. They enjoy a variety of team and high school sports, snowboarding, biking, dirt biking, and being out at the desert, beach, or lake. Russ devotes his time to giving service to those in need and to his church and sons’ youth groups, as well as through the Boy Scouts of America. Russ is excited to soon have his two oldest sons receive their Eagle Scout awards, with his third son soon to follow. Strong family values and friendships, as well as vigorous legal representation, are some of Russ’s personal commitments.
