Anyone who has ever driven on the highways in and around Orange County has probably seen and shared the road with tractor-trailers. These massive trucks are prevalent on California's highways, just as they are on highways all across the country.
Drinking and driving is never a good idea and any time that a person consumes alcohol, they become a danger to every motorist on the road. Even when a person thinks that they are okay to drive, their senses may still be impaired to the point where driving is a danger. Unfortunately, despite the obvious and terrible dangers of drinking and driving, some still choose to make that bad decision and, as a recent Orange County crash shows, sometimes irreparably change the lives of others in the process.
People who frequently drive on California's highways may see some strange things every once in a while. Orange County residents may expect to see an odd billboard advertisement from time-to-time, or even strange looking people riding on the highway in strange looking vehicles. But, nobody could expect to see what one man recently noticed while driving one evening on the freeway.
California is an expansive state; getting from one place to another often requires traveling on a highway. Even commuting around Orange County can mean a highway ride in a motor vehicle. Because it is so common for people in the area to drive dozens of miles at a time, it can be easy to forget just how dangerous it is to drive at higher speeds on a highway.
